How do I add additional coaches for a child account?

Parent accounts have the option of enabling or disabling additional coaches from accessing their child’s Khan Academy data.  Accounts are set-up to default to allow only the parent account as a coach. 

To allow for additional coaches:

  1. First login to your (parent) account and then click "Coach" in the main menu in the upper right
  2. From there click "COACH", and then "Manage students".
  3. Hover over the name of the child account you wish to alter (to the right of the child's username), click the checkbox to "Allow other coaches".
  4. Logout of your parent account (from the menu under your name in the upper right, choose "Logout").
  5. Login to your child's account.
  6. From the menu under their name, choose "Visit Profile".
  7. On the left side of their profile page, click on the "Coaches" link.
  8. In the "Add a coach" field, enter the email address of their new coach.
